Manage work and personal AI accounts in one workspace
Keep supported subscription and API accounts organised. Choose the right identity for each project session and retain its conversation history.
Start with clear account boundaries
A work account and a personal account can have different permissions, billing and project access. Give each saved profile a clear label, such as “Work review” or “Personal projects”. An Orbit profile helps you select an identity; it does not grant permission to use another person’s account.
Orbit supports multiple saved accounts from the same provider and accounts from different supported providers. Its saved-account list has no Orbit account limit. The number of active sessions depends on your computer and provider access.
Set up and verify each account
- Open Settings → AI accounts. Install the supported provider tool if needed.
- Select Add account and choose the provider’s subscription or API mode. Use the matching browser identity for subscription sign-in.
- Finish the provider’s own sign-in flow. Return to Orbit and refresh the account list.
- Open a project terminal with the intended account. Run a small task and check the response before starting a larger job.
Keep history attached to its owner
A saved conversation belongs to the account that created it. Continue it with that account. If a task needs another account, use an explicit handoff and review the context that will be shared. Opening another pane does not transfer an existing conversation or merge provider limits.
If the account cannot run
Check whether the provider needs sign-in, a supported plan, API credit or a wait for its limit to reset. A saved profile is not proof of current provider access. Orbit does not pool subscriptions, remove provider limits or include provider credits.
